Brancott Estate launches late-harvest sauvignon blanc in time for Rugby World Cup

Brancott Estate has not only supported World of Wearable Art, but it’s an official sponsor of New Zealand’s Rugby World Cup 2011, opening Friday.
The late harvest sauvignon blanc from the New Zealand winery has arrived in time for kick-off. The Brancott Estate Letter Series B Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2011, to give its full title, was grown at Brancott Vineyard, and according to the winery, has been made from grapes that were left on the vine to sweeten further, condensing its flavours and adding a honeyed hue. The grapes were hand-harvested in May 2011.
It features aromas of mango, peach and passionfruit; and there are tropical and stone-fruit flavours on the palate.
The 375 ml bottle retails for NZ$36·99.
